The BookOm solo option is ideal if it’s just you. The BookOm staff is ideal if you have staff (e.g. a Yoga or Pilates studio). If you get BookOm staff, you can add as many staff as you like, with no added costs per staff added. Most other booking systems charge per staff which is the main reason me and my team spent several months creating BookOm. I firmly believe that charging for each staff to use a booking system is daylight robbery! You can rest assured, that if you get BookOm staff you can add as many staff as you like for no extra cost.
Absolutely not. Though, you’d be surprised at how many booking systems have booking limits. No matter which BookOm plan you choose, BookOm Solo or BookOm Staff, you will never need to upgrade to a higher plan to increase the booking limit. That is called daylight robbery, and we aren’t in the daylight robbery business. There are no booking limits with BookOm.

The homepage of the dashboard makes it easy to see at a glance, how many appointments you have scheduled and other important metrics. On the left-hand side of the dashboard, you’ll be able to click through to the other pages of the dashboard, to see appointment details, payment information, calendar view, your services, and much more.
BookOm Staff supports multiple staff members. That means whoever is making the bookings can easily choose which member of your staff they want. Each staff member can have their own schedule of when they are available for receiving bookings. You can also assign staff members to specific locations so they can only be booked at that location.
I created BookOm because I needed a booking system for my yoga classes, and it annoyed the heck out of me to see how much online booking systems were charging. It felt like daylight robbery! My team had spent over a decade creating and improving the Yoga Lesson Planner software and Pilates Lesson Planner software (now used by 3000+ yoga and pilates teachers worldwide). Yes. While you can let your customers and clients make bookings themselves, you don’t have to enable this aspect of BookOm.
You could instead, decide to use BookOm as an internal online booking and scheduling system. This system would be used by you and your staff to enter bookings and appointments made by your clients and customers in person, by phone, or by email. This will give you an easy way to manage your appointments, without requiring your customers to make the bookings themselves online.
Yes. People coming to your site can book into your services, or you can book them into a service manually from the backend of BookOm. It’s up to you.
Yes. If your business offers multiple services (e.g. Yoga classes, workshops, retreats, and private sessions) BookOm can easily accommodate this. Through the dashboard, you can create multiple services that your customers can book. The category structure view is very sophisticated and can handle any configuration that your business has. You can rest easy knowing that BookOm makes planning out your services very straightforward.
Yes. Your visitors can make appointments, regardless of what type of device they are using. This also applies to the BookOm dashboard. Thanks to this, it’s possible for you to manage your schedule and bookings on a smaller screen smartphone device. That means you (and your staff if you have BookOm Staff) can stay on top of your business from anywhere, at any time.
Yes. If you want to offer customers discounts on your bookable services, you can create coupons inside of BookOm. When creating a coupon, you can set the discount as a fixed amount, such as £5 off the full price. Alternatively, you can set the discount as a percentage of the full price. You can also set the expiry date and usage limit for each coupon. Defining which services a coupon can be used with is also easy to do.
Yes. You never have to worry about adding a client to a CRM system anymore. BookOm will instantly systemize and securely store all the customer data. The longer you use the BookOm online booking system, the more insights you get about your loyal students.
No. I did create it for Yoga and Pilates teachers, but it works perfectly as a booking system for any business that needs to take bookings. Whatever you organise, we’ve got your back. Yes. BookOm Staff does not only get customers to book your services, but it also displays the workload of each of your staff. You’ll have an occupancy graph (e.g. If you have a yoga studio, you’ll see the number of students who attended each class). That means you can easily manage staff payments cutting time and expense on using additional tools.
Yes. If your business uses recurring appointments, you easily do this within BookOm. Recurring appointments would be useful for appointments that recur on a weekly or monthly basis. Simply enter how often the appointment recurs and BookOm will do the rest.
Absolutely not! If you choose to add the booking form to a page on your website by copying and pasting a little snippet of HTML into the page (very easy to do on WordPress or any site), it will not interfere with the speed of your website. That’s important because a fast website is critical to user experience and SEO. If you haven’t got a website, don’t worry, you’ll also be provided with a URL (a mini-site for your booking form) that you add to Facebook posts, emails, etc.
Yes, if you have BookOm Staff. You can manage access rights to let each member of your staff be on top of their schedules without compromising data security.
Yes. To make it easy to manage your schedule (or view the schedule of staff if you have BookOm Staff), BookOm has a calendar feature (see screenshot below).
Through the dashboard, you can view the calendar and then quickly see all the appointments that have been booked.
The different views of the BookOm calendar enable you to filter the appointments. This will help you to quickly find the type of information you’re looking for (e.g. viewing all the appointments for a particular staff member or client).
Yes. The appointments and reminders are automated for BookOm Solo and BookOm Staff. For example, when you get started with BookOm Staff, you’ll set up your staff on the system (e.g. if you have a yoga studio), and then add the “services” you provide (e.g. Hatha Yoga classes on Thursdays, Yin Classes on Tuesdays, etc). After you’ve done that your booking form is ready and eager to go work for you 24/7 collecting money from your customers, sending them automated reminders by email (and SMS or WhatsApp if you want), and then automatically tracking how many classes they’ve been to, and how much money they’ve paid you over the weeks, months and years. Automation is like magic for a business owner. You’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.
Yes. You can choose from Paypal, Stripe, or Local (student’s pay cash or cheque when they arrive at class) payment methods.
Paypal and Stripe are two of the most popular online payment processors. You can, of course, use BookOm in many different ways. Therefore, if you don’t want to collect payments online, you can easily turn off the online payments functionality.
Yes! Sending automated reminders to your customers is crucial to the success of your business. Instead of just sending out “email reminders”, you can also send SMS, and WhatsApp messages.
For example, if you’re a Yoga teacher, this will come in handy if you want to reduce the number of students who miss coming to your classes. It can also help you and your staff stay informed of the schedule.
Yes. To ensure that the BookOm content, such as the forms and booking panels fits in with the rest of your website, you can choose from one of the seven predefined color styles. Yes. You can start accepting bookings for your services throughout your website. All you need is your BookOm URL or BookOm HTML (snippet of HTML code to copy and paste into your site).
Yes. To avoid customers making appointments during periods when you’re not working, you can blackout certain dates. You can also blackout set periods of time, public holidays, and other scenarios.
Yes. Collecting the full payment upfront might not be appropriate for your business. If this is the case, you can still protect yourself from lost revenue with BookOm. Thanks to the deposit payment functionality, you can define an amount of money to collect during the booking process. This should not only prevent you from losing all your revenue from a missed appointment but it should also encourage your customers to attend their appointments in order to prevent them from losing this deposit.
Yes. When a customer books an appointment or service from your site, the last step in the process will ask them if they want to add it to their Google Calendar (see screenshot below).
Yes. It works with WordPress and all other sites, so you can rest easy knowing that BookOm will look great on your site. You can choose from multiple designs with a click of a button, or create your own design.
FYI: If you decide to use WordPress, purchase a theme versus getting a free theme. I used to design websites for a living, but I quit doing that when it was possible to purchase really good themes for less than £70. Google “Best WordPress themes” and pick the one you like the look of. Most of my sites use the Divi theme from Elegantthemes.com. The other benefit of purchasing a WordPress theme is that you’ll get free support, which is invaluable. You’ll be able to send an email to the support and get an answer back within 24 hours.
Yes. If you want to back up your data or import it into another app to analyze it and create bespoke reports, it’s very straightforward with BookOm. Exporting your data in CSV format allows you to open it up in many popular software applications, including spreadsheets like Excel. Then you can use the functionality of those programs to dive deeper into your data and see when your busy periods are, which customers make the most appointments, and any other information you think will be useful for your business. Pssst, by the way, all those reports can be done directly within BookOm, so only users who are excel lovers will need or want to use this feature.
